Autism Community of Vietnam finds their voice!
CLAN would like to sincerely congratulate the Autism Community of Hanoi for the incredible strides they are making for children living with Autism in Vietnam!
In celebration of World Autism Awareness Day (2nd April), the Autism Community of Vietnam worked in partnership with a broad range of groups to help children living with Autism in Vietnam share their own stories and voices with the world.
The Power of Song
In partnership with C3 Vietnam, Thanh Bui and Valerie Foley, the Autism Community of Vietnam has created a stunning music video. The song "Through My Eyes" is beautifully sung by Thanh Bui, and offers us all the chance to see the world through the eyes of children who are living with Autism in Vietnam. The music and video invite us all to open our hearts and minds and understand life from a new perspective.
The Power of Photo Voice
Another exciting project that the Autism Community of Vietnam has participated in is the development of a Photo Voice Exhibition, to share the voices of children living with Autism in Vietnam through photos. Sincere thanks to Song Vu Ha and her amazing colleagues for sharing the following clip about the photovoice exhibition:
The photo exhibition was a great success. Held over 8 days at exhibition house 93 Dinh Tien Hoang in the center of Hanoi the exhibition received more than 1500 visits and 20 education sections for more than 100 parents. After the successful event the photo voice exhibit also enjoyed support to display the exhibition at 2 universities through the whole of April and May 2012.
Sincere thanks to everyone involved, especially Song Vu Ha, Thanh Bui, Valerie Foley, Beth Smart, Yen, Minh, Phong, Thien and the team at C3 Vietnam!
