Welcome Stephanie!

Welcome Stephanie!

CLAN is proud to work with Global Experiences to provide young professionals and university students with international internships, allowing them to gain an invaluable and unforgettable work experience abroad.

My name is Stephanie Carde and I’m from Stamford, Connecticut. I recently graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences and minors in Neuroscience and Criminal Justice. Upon my return to the States I hope to work as a behavioural analyst with a focus on criminal profiling. Throughout my undergraduate studies I learned about the stigma associated with mental health and the effect it has on not only the individuals with a mental health condition, but on their family members as well. I believe my understanding of mental health stigmatization coincides with CLAN’s understanding of the stigmatization associated with NCDs in countries where we work. I am looking forward to helping CLAN put a stop to the stigmatization associated with NCDs by producing stories that will further educate communities and consequentially encourage families to seek treatment for affected children. I am passionate about ensuring that no one is afraid to get the help and treatment they need, therefore I know CLAN is the place for me. I am looking forward to spending the next couple of months in Sydney alongside the CLAN team.
