WHERE WE WORK: PAKISTAN
Partnering with the National Institute of Child Health (NICH) in Karachi
In Pakistan CLAN has had the privilege of collaborating with doctors at the National Institute of Child Health in Karachi (NICH), to explore ways to improve quality of life for children living with CAH, Diabetes, Osteogenesis Imperfecta and Congenital Hypothyroidism.
CLAN is committed to supporting the development and translation of educational resources into Urdu that can help families and young people living with chronic health conditions in Pakistan to enjoy the highest quality of life possible. The side benefit is that Urdu speaking families around the world can also benefit!
CLAN had been proud to collaborate with a range of partners to make these resources possible, but we would especially like to thank members of APMA (the Australia Pakistan Medical Association) and APEG (the Australasia Paediatric Endocrinology Group); the authors of the educational resources; and CLAN's long-standing supporter Fish for their generous support making these resources possible. Huge and final thanks as ever though must go to the team at NICH for their incredible commitment and long-standing efforts to make these resources possible for the benefit of Urdu-speaking children and families everywhere.
