WELCOME RAMANDEEP!
CLAN is pleased to introduce the newest addition to our team, Miss Ramandeep Dhaliwal. Raman is interning with CLAN this Australian winter through Global Experiences, an organisation providing young professionals and university students with international internships. Raman joins us from the small town of Southall in West London. She studied Psychology at Brunel University from 2012 to 2015 then continued her studies completing her MSc in Functional Neuroimaging the following year.
Raman states, “Australia has always been one of the places I would have loved to visit, so as soon as I saw the option of interning abroad in Australia I took my chance and now here I am! The thought of being so far from home was scary at first but I don’t regret it one bit, I love it out here!”
Raman is focused on helping children in resource poor settings by contributing to educational resources that will further educate them in problems they may be facing as a result of their condition. Raman wants to help make children aware of their rights and the resources available to them.
Her main project will be to write a literature review which will show evidence for psychological support for young girls living with CAH. She will also adapt to the English version of the CAH book written in Indonesian using the evidence in my literature review to support it. After the English version is complete she will work on translating the book into Punjabi.
Raman states, “I am eager to see the finished results of my work and am eager to meet and network with more doctors around the world and also here in Sydney. With CLAN’s flexibility I am able to enjoy my time here in Sydney and explore new places every weekend!”
We are thrilled to have you on board Raman and we look forward to seeing all you accomplish during your time with us!
