Cerebral Palsy is the most common lifelong physical disability in the world.
Cerebral Palsy is an umbrella term for a group of movement and posture disorders caused by non-progressive damage to the developing brain. It affects each person differently, varying in severity and physical presentation.
People with cerebral palsy are likely to experience difficulties with communicating, eating and drinking alongside other difficulties like chronic pain, epilepsy, vision impairment, hearing impairment, intellectual impairments, sleep disorders, and fatigue. People with cerebral palsy have varying support needs. Tailored, ongoing, and person-centred health support is important to help people enjoy freedom, social inclusion and a higher quality of life.
World Cerebral Palsy Day is celebrated every year on October 6th. #WorldCPDay
