Meet Stella Haag: CLAN United Nations Youth Representative
|
My name is Stella Haag, and I’m from a small town on the Canadian Border called Sandpoint, Idaho. I’m a member of the class of 2029, double-majoring in Health, Medicine and Society and Political Science. I’m one of the UN Youth Representatives for Caring and Living as Neighbors (CLAN). CLAN is dedicated to making healthcare more accessible for children with chronic health conditions and their families, particularly in underserved areas. This cause couldn’t be closer to my heart, as I was diagnosed with a rare chronic medical condition at birth that has affected my life in almost every aspect. Despite that, I am thriving because of the excellent care I received. This is something I think every kid should have access to. I’ve spent much of my academic career as an advocate and continue that here at Lehigh, not only as a UN Youth Representative but also as the very proud outreach chair for the American Association of University Women.
